We use organic cotton across our core fabric components: a 12oz cotton chosen for strength, over a bamboo webbing base. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers and supports more responsible farming practices.

To prioritise safety, durability and washability, our fabrics are constructed without glue-based bonding. Instead, we rely on a robust cotton weave and stitched construction. The fabric carries a fluorine-free water-repellent finish, applied at the mill, suited to city walks and passing showers.

As a small brand, we work closely with a small number of trusted suppliers and manufacturing partners, and review our materials as we grow.

Because we choose natural fibres, our fabrics will change with use. With regular wear and washing, colours may gradually soften and lighten over time, a normal characteristic of cotton and part of choosing natural fibres over synthetic ones.

Together with our manufacturing partners, we've developed an alternative assembly method that removes the need for hidden glue-based bonding, reducing concealed plastics within our collars, leads and harnesses.

Rather than keeping this approach to ourselves, we chose not to sign a non-compete agreement, allowing other brands to adopt the same construction method if they wish. We believe progress comes from sharing practical improvements, not protecting them behind closed doors.

Our focus on considered materials, transparent sourcing and responsible construction is driven by how the products are used, long-term durability and a more honest product life.
